SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State began its centennial capital campaign Aug. 22 at the Junell Center-Stephens Arena. The campaign, titled “Leading the Charge,” has raised $73 million so far. The goal is to raise $128 million by the university’s centennial anniversary in 2028. Funding will go toward scholarship and internship programs, enhancing student services, the Angelo State Athletics Endowment, as well as facility, technology and equipment upgrades. The president says by the end of the decade, the school wants to be known for economics, education and culture, and school officials say that starts with serving students and their needs.
