CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas — Two drivers were killed in a crash Saturday evening in Callahan County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said a pickup truck driven by Dennis Warren, 55, of Houston, was traveling east on State Hwy 36 in Callahan County. Another pickup truck driven by Cristobal Solis, 48, of Abilene, was traveling west on SH 36.
DPS says Warren veered into the westbound lane of the highway and hit Solis' truck.
Warren and Solis were pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Andie Holland.
Solis' passenger, Frank Solis, 74, of Abilene, was taken to Hendrick North Medical Center with incapacitating injuries. He was listed in stable condition at the time of the release of the report.
