CARLSBAD, Texas — Two people are dead after a shooting in Carlsbad.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office said is investigating the incident. A release from the TGCSO, deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim at around 12:21 p.m. Friday. When they arrived at the home in the 11000 block of Texas Oak Road, they found a man and a woman, both with gunshot wounds.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to Shannon Medical Center and later died from his injuries.
Their identities are being withheld pending family notification.
At the time of the release, the investigation is active. The TGCSO said there is no active threat to the public.
