SAN ANGELO, Texas — Tammi Sauer, author of more than 25 children's books, will pay a two-day visit to the Concho Valley in February.

Some of Sauer's titles include All Kinds of Special, The Underpants, Mary Had a Little Plan, Nugget and Fang and Wordy Birdy.

On Friday, Feb. 9, Sauer will visit Fannin and Goliad elementary schools and present to kindergarten-first and second-third grade students.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at North Angelo Branch Library, 3001 N. Chadbourne St., children will get a free copy of one of Sauer's books and a free button, while supplies last. Related crafts will also be available.

A release from the library system said, "This is a great opportunity to meet an author in real life, and potentially get a book signed!"

Author presentations for the public will be at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and are geared for kindergarten-first and second-third grade groups.

Leading up to Sauer's visit, her work will be featured at Story-time and Crafts at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 3 at North Branch.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) recently awarded funding to the North Branch Library under its Texas Reads grant program. The project is made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
