The City of San Angelo is seeking the public's input on projects that should be included or prioritized in the updated Capital Improvement Plan.

Citizens can share their thoughts via a short online form posted on the City’s website at cosatx.us/CIPInput. The survey will be open from March 5-24.

Feedback will help San Angelo City Council in considering and passing the 2020-2025 Capital Improvement Plan, according to a press release from the City.

The plan prioritizes how the City addresses large capital needs. Projects must have a useful life of at least three years, cost more than $25,000 and require at least six months to complete.

There are 85 CIP projects are either underway or proposed to begin by 2024.

The City charter requires that a five-year CIP be published and available to citizens. The plan can be read in hard copy form at City Hall, 72 W. College Ave., or online at cosatx.us/cip.

Once the City Council approves the plan, it will help inform decisions in the 2021 budget.

For more information about the CIP or the input process, contact City Budget Manager Kimberly Holle at kimberly.holle@cosatx.us or 325-657-4211.
