CLYDE, Texas — Two mail theft suspects were arrested by Clyde Police Department officers Wednesday morning.
A release from Clyde PD said mail (and packages) found as a result of this investigation yielded addresses in Clyde, Callahan County, Abilene, Taylor County, Rosebud, other Texas cities and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
"It’s unfortunate that the citizens of Clyde can’t have nice things or display their holiday cheer without fear of the property being stolen or destroyed," a social media post said.
The ongoing investigation will likely result in additional charges for the two people.
If you feel you have been a victim of such crime, contact your law enforcement agencies. If you or anyone you may know possesses a surveillance system, review the footage. Clyde PD says its officers will review any and all footage provided.
