BROWN COUNTY, Texas — A Coleman man died after he was ejected from his vehicle in a rollover crash Friday night near Bangs.
A preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety said Jesse Joe Guerrero, 53, of Coleman, was driving a pickup truck north on Farm-to-Market Road 585, three miles north of Bangs. The report said Guerrero was traveling at an unsafe speed approaching a curve in the road.
Because of speed, Guerrero wasn't able to safely negotiate the curve and drove off the north side of the road, striking a tree.
Guerrero was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck, DPS said.
The crash is still under DPS investigation.
