SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Concho Valley Community Action Agency is offering a new income-based mortgage assistance program for homeowners who are struggling to make their payments.
“Maybe they’ve had issues with COVID, losing their job, healthcare, whatever it is, they can apply and we can help them with up to six months of assistance. Five of those can be past due payments,” CVCAA Outreach and Development Specialist Sidney Timmer said. “So if they’re facing foreclosure because they haven’t been able to pay for the last four, we could do those four and two moving forward.”
To apply, CVCAA will need:
- A completed mortgage application
- Photo ID (everyone over 18 years-of-age)
- Social Security cards for all residents
- Proof of income for the past 30 days
- Mortgage statement
““We’re very fortunate that this grant is our pot of money.” Timmer said. “Earlier in the year when we had COVID rental assistance, we were sharing it with the whole state, so everyone was pulling from it. This is our pot of money that we have designated for our Concho Valley homeowners, so we’re watching it, we’re making sure we can help as many people as possible.”
