TEXAS, USA — The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake happened at about 10:46 p.m. Monday about 10.6 miles northeast of Hermleigh. It was initially reported by the USGS as being a 4.9 magnitude, then later updated to 4.4, which was one of the aftershocks.
The USGS community internet intensity map shows the quake was felt as far as Turkey in the Texas Panhandle and in Flower Mound in North Texas.
