ABILENE, Texas — At approximately 12:24 a.m. Monday, the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 1400 block of Graham Street.
Crews found a single-family home with fire and smoke showing from the roof and were able to extinguish the fire. The fire caused damage to the attic, according to a release from the AFD..
The two residents of the house were present at the time and were both able to get out uninjured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Estimated damage was placed at $10,000.
The American Red Cross was contacted and is assisting the displaced residents.
