SAN ANGELO, Texas — Fort Concho has some history-infused scares coming up for the whole family next month, with three favorite events returning.

House of Horrors

Dare to be scared at Fort Concho’s House of Horrors! Join the spine-chilling fun at the Quartermaster Building on Oct. 4 and 5, from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The terrifying experience is perfect for anyone 6 and older. Tickets are $12, or $10 for Fort Concho members (with ID), and kids under 6 get in free with a general admission ticket. But remember, anyone under 16 needs an adult by their side. Tickets can be purchased at the Barracks 1 Sutler Store, 630 S Oakes. Tickets will not be sold after 10:30 p.m. on the days of the event.

Fort Concho After Dark

Experience the chills of Fort Concho After Dark! On Oct. 11 & 12, join one of four tour groups and explore the fort’s most haunted buildings. The eerie adventure starts at 8 p.m. from Barracks 1, but tickets must be bought in advance. We'll begin taking tickets at 7:30 p.m.—no sales on the day of the event, so act fast before they sell out! Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for Fort Concho members, and free for kids under 6 (though some spooky stories might not be suitable for little ones). Don’t miss your chance for a ghostly good time!

 A Murder at Fort Concho

Don’t miss A Murder at Fort Concho on Oct. 18 & 19! From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., step into a real-life “Clue” game as you question historical figures across the fort to solve a chilling mystery. Start at the Visitor Center (Barracks 1) for your clue sheet and orientation, then explore the site to uncover the truth. Cold water and light snacks will be provided. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for Fort Concho members, and the last sleuths will be sent out at 9:15 p.m. It’s a thrilling whodunit you won’t want to miss!
