CROCKETT COUNTY, Texas — A 58-year-old Georgetown man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover Saturday afternoon in Crockett County.

According to a preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2012 Nissan Armada, driven by Adolfo Cantu Cruz, 58, was traveling east on Interstate 10, approximately 22 miles west of Ozona. Cruz failed to drive in a single lane and veered right into the southbound barrow ditch, where he hit two delineator posts.

The report says Cruz then overcorrected to the left, re-entered the main roadway, then entered the main roadway. Cruz then overcorrected the wheel to the right, causing the vehicle to enter a side skid.

The vehicle rolled over and came to rest inside the center median upside down, facing south. Although Cruz was wearing a seat belt, he suffered fatal injuries in the rollover, the report said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
