GRAPE CREEK, Texas — A San Angelo woman was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 4:14 p.m. Friday after Tom Green County Sheriff's Office deputies says she barricaded herself in a Grape Creek home and refused to come out.
Deputies responded to a complaint about the woman violating a magistrate's emergency protective order at around 8:15 a.m. Friday at 10639 Wheatland Drive in Grape Creek.
The order was implemented for Norma Lee Moreno, 38, as the result of her arrest April 21, 2024, for the injury to the elderly.

She was released, then arrested again May 6, for violation of the protective order. Moreno was the suspect in the assault of an elderly victim in Grape Creek May 16, 2024.
Deputies found Moreno at the home again and in violation of the emergency protective order again Friday. As they tried to make contact with hre, Moreno armed herself with two knives and threatened suicide before barricading herself inside the home.
Members of the Tom Green County Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Unit attempts to get her to surrender were unsuccessful.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., chemical agents were deployed and after several attempts, deputies were able to physically restrain Moreno and take her into custody at approximately 3:05 p.m.
Moreno has been initially charged with violating the protective order, but the TGCSO says additional charges are pending.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The sheriff's office says the incident remains under investigation.
