GRAPE CREEK, Texas — The Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department is asking for the public's help identifying a man it has dubbed "The Lake Gardens Bandit."
The department said on social media, at around 11:27 p.m. Thursday, a man who did not have permission to be in the VFD's building, the former Lake Gardens Meat Processing Plant at 8325 US Hwy 87N, walked in.
"After realizing our hunting camera snapped a photo of him, he stole our hunting camera and left the property," the post said.
GCVFD said it had recently mounted the hunting camera inside its building after a recent break-in where someone removed copper materials from all interior and exterior electrical components/
Anyone with information about the break-ins, or who can identify The Lake Gardens Bandit, is asked to call the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office at 325-655-8111.
