HASKELL COUNTY, Texas — A San Antonio man died early Tuesday when the car he was driving struck a utility pole on US Hwy 277, two miles south of Haskell.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said in a preliminary crash report that Christopher Neal Reichenbach, 43, of San Antonio, was traveling north on US 277 when he steered off the east side of the road and struck the pole.

DPS says Reichenbach was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Lynn Dodson.
