SAN ANGELO, Texas — Families and people of all ages from across San Angelo gathered at the Fort Concho Stables earlier tonight for the kickoff of House of Faith’s family Christmas parties.
After check-in, families are seated and enjoy a meal, provided by Senor Chang’s, music and a Christmas skit and message.
Afterwards, families are invited across the street for a carnival-styled evening of fun and games and given a present for each family member. One representative from the organization says the idea behind the event is providing a safe environment for some holiday fun.
"Providing a safe place for families to understand the true meaning of Christmas, to have a family night where they can come together as a family and have an opportunity that they might not have to really just let go everything and have fun," House of Faith's Public Relation's representative Seth Lowrance said.
Lowrance also says it's not too late to register or volunteer for the Christmas parties.
"It’s never too late for people to volunteer. It’s never too late for people to register. If you want to be a part of a House of Faith program, you can be a part of a House of Faith program. If you want to volunteer, you can volunteer. We can absolutely find you something to do."
The parties will be held every night through Thursday, Dec. 19. For more information on how to register or volunteer, click here.
