EASTLAND COUNTY, Texas — After receiving a report Thursday morning about skeletal remains found on a property near Ranger, the Eastland County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the remains are those of a human.
Eastland County Sheriff Jason Weger said in a release on his Facebook page the remains were found on Loop 254, east of Ranger.
An investigation is ongoing and in the early stages. Texas Rangers were called to help with the investigation.
Weger said the remains will be sent to the University of North Texas for forensics.
He added there is no other information that can be given at this time.
