ABILENE, Texas — Founded in 2021 by Jennifer Kleinpeter, an Abilene RN, BCWR's main goal is to educate West Texas about its natural wildlife. Kleinpeter says the rescue receives about 100 calls a day concerning everything from raccoons to snakes to skunks and more.
