SAN ANGELO, Texas — A 44 year old kidnapping subject was arrested Aug. 17 in San Angelo after he assaulted a man and woman, according to Tom Green County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called to the 1000 block of Mahon Ave. Aug. 15 by a female and when they arrived to the scene, a man said he had been assaulted.
The man told deputies there was a woman who had also been assaulted and forced into a vehicle, which prompted the release of a search warrant for Jonathan Staker, a white male.
Deputies worked alongside the Runnels County Sheriff's Office to find the kidnapped woman and vehicle in question. They found her the same day of the attack.
On Aug. 17, suspect Jonathan Staker was taken into custody and booked at Tom Green County Jail with a $500000 bond.
He was arrested for aggravated kidnapping as a first degree felony and both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
