SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association still has tickets available for the remaining performances of the 2024 rodeo.
The organization's executive director Justin Jonas said potential buyers should continue checking online for tickets to become available. He said credit card issues sometimes cause failed purchases.
Jonas said there are more than 1,000 tickets available for the April 21 Tejano Day performance, but that availability varies night-by-night.
"I think it scatters from anywhere from just a handful of tickets to 30 or 40 tickets," he said. "I just looked (and) I thought I saw 20-something tickets for the XTREME Bulls. That’s gonna be on Sunday. So, you know, it’s constantly going up and down."
Jonas also addressed the empty seats rodeo fans see during performances each year. He said sometimes people arrive late but also said that he hopes season ticket holders will find a use for their seats if they do not plan to attend on a given night.
"Anybody that has an event wants to sell season tickets," he said. "And we encourage season ticket holders that if you’re not going for one night, please fill them somehow with your neighbors, or friends... because there are still several people that are still trying to get those seats.”
The 2024 San Angelo Rodeo continues at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
