SWEETWATER, Texas — A resurfacing project on FM 419 in Sweetwater begins Monday, April 1.
Texas Department of Transportation contractor, Reece Albert of San Angelo, will work on the $3.36 million project that will span from the Business Interstate 20 intersection to the Fisher County line. The work includes an overlay of asphalt to the road surface and the BNSF railroad crossing along with guardrail improvements.
Work is expected to be complete by late summer 2024.
Drivers should be aware of various lane closures and should plan ahead, as delays may occur periodically.
Use caution if driving in this area, obey warning/speed signs, slow down, avoid distractions and watch for crews and equipment entering or exiting the work zone.
