NOLAN COUNTY, Texas — A San Antonio man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the car he was driving collided with an SUV in Nolan County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said Claude Joseph Kimmel, 62, of San Antonio, was traveling north on Business Hwy 84. An SUV, driven by Luis Sandoval Munoz, 67, of Seminole, was traveling east on US Hwy 84.
DPS says Kimmel failed to yield the right of way to Munoz at the intersection of Business 84 and US 84 and the vehicles collided.
Kimmel was pronounced dead at the scene by County Judge Whitley May. Munoz was taken to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious incapacitating injuries, DPS said.
