Monarchs flock to West Texas in annual migration

The butterflies migrate thousands of miles each year. They can be seen in San Angelo each Fall.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Ashley Perales wore monarch-shaped earrings and carried a painting of a butterfly she'd recently photographed. She's grown up seeing them in West Texas.

Peggy Foix is visiting San Angelo from Wichita Falls. She's never witnessed the migration.
