A San Angelo Police Department officer was arrested over the weekend on the charge of driving while intoxicated, according to an SAPD news release.
On Saturday, March 13, Texas Department of Public Safety officials arrested Abel Nandin, 54, of San Angelo.
Nandin, who has served with the SAPD for 22 years, will be subject to both criminal and administrative investigations, the release said.
Nandin was off duty when the incident occurred, according to the SAPD.
