ABILENE, Texas — One person died in a structure fire early Friday morning in Abilene.
The Abilene Fire Department said in a release, at approximately 3 a.m. May 6, crews responded to a structure fire in the 1300 block of South Crockett Drive. They arrived and found fire and smoke coming from the structure and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
The person who died had not been positively identified at the time of the release. No injuries to police or fire personnel were reported.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation.
