ABILENE, Texas — Looking for something to do Sept. 1?
For those in the Abilene area, search no further as Hardin-Simmons University will be hosting a dedication of its Parramore Field and a celebration of the Cowboy's Football team 500th win.
This event will take place starting 6:30 p.m. at Shelton Stadium, commemorating the field's new turf and padding, which makes temperatures cooler for the athletes.
A 7 p.m. football game against Albright College is set to take place directly following the celebration.
