'Pink Out the Firehouse" for women's health

The Laura Bush Institute will host their seventh annual breast cancer awareness profit share on Oct. 6.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University's Office of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health (LWBIWH) and the Old Central Firehouse Pizzeria and Taproom will host their seventh annual Breast Cancer Awareness Profit Share fundraising event on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the restaurant location at 200 S. Magdalen St.

Titled "Pink Out the Firehouse," this year's Profit Share will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will feature the Old Central Firehouse donating 20% of all profits made during that time to the LWBIWH.

Additionally, an accompanying online Silent Auction is now open and will run to the end of the Profit Share event on Oct. 6. The online auction features items donated by a variety of local businesses and civic groups, including:

  • Free Rein Coffee Co.
  • Texas Silver Rush
  • J. Wilde's
  • Grigsby's Boutique
  • Concho Confetti
  • The Bearded Barista
  • Texas Angels Boutique

The auction website is located at here. All proceeds from the Silent Auction will go to the LWBIWH's Team Pink initiative, which serves those undergoing breast cancer treatment in San Angelo by helping them purchase essential items needed while receiving chemotherapy and radiation.
