BROWNWOOD, Texas — Prospective Howard Payne University students can visit the school Nov. 25 or Dec. 3 for preview days that provide opportunities to visit campus and learn more about all aspects of the HPU student experience.
“Visiting campus on a weekday is one of the best ways to experience campus life,” HPU assistant director of admissions and transfer admission counselor, Megan Proctor, said “Our preview events are open to all prospective students and their families.”
The first Yellow Jacket Preview Day is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and features tours of the campus and residence halls. Visitors can also have lunch in Beadel Dining Hall, meet HPU faculty at an academic fair, hear from a student panel, learn about financial aid, receive exclusive scholarship opportunities, visit with an admission counselor and receive a free t-shirt.
Optional activities after lunch include visiting the Stinger Store, touring the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom, observing a class and touring a lab or academic building in more detail.
A special “Christmas on the Plaza” tour will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 for prospective students. The unique visit includes a campus tour, time with current Yellow Jackets, a free t-shirt and the opportunity to see the campus lit up with Christmas lights.
