STONEWALL COUNTY, Texas — A Roscoe woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision late Saturday morning near Aspermont in Stonewall County.
A preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety said Tammy Diane Yarborough of Roscoe was driving a Ford passenger car south on FM 1835, while a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Charles Ray Baker of Jayton, was traveling east on SH 283.
The report said Yarborough failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection of FM 1835 and SH 283 and Baker's truck hit her car on the left rear side.
Yarborough was pronounced dead at the scene. Baker was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with stable/incapacitating injuries.
The crash is under DPS investigation.
