San Angelo man killed in truck, farm equipment collision on US 67

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — A 37-year-old San Angelo man was killed in a collision Monday evening, 10 miles north of San Angelo on US 67.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety preliminary crash report, a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck was being driven southbound on US 67, in the outside lane, by Joshua Joseph Corfield, 38, of San Angelo.

A John Deere 4560 with farm equipment in tow, driven by Gregory Irvin Hohensee, 56, of Miles, was traveling in the southbound lane ahead of Corfield.

The report said Corfield failed to control speed and struck the farm equipment in tow.

A passenger in the Dodge, Brett Mohler, 37, of San Angelo, was killed in the collision. Corfield was transported to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries. Hohensee was also transported to Shannon with non-incapacitating injures.

According to the DPS report, Corfield and Mohler were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office assisted DPS in the crash investigation.
