Adult Literacy Council's annual book sale is coming up

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Adult Literacy Council of the Concho Valley is hosting its annual book sale Oct. 19-23, at Providence Baptist Church, 819 Austin St.

Preview Night is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 19. Admission on Preview Night is $5.

The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21. 

On Sunday, there is no sale, but from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday only, books will be free. The literacy council will accept donations. 

The agency is open to anyone who has a need to learn how to read. Help with job applications, citizenship, computer skills, writing resumes, English, GED instruction, parenting skills, health literacy, dress for success, holiday decorations, dyslexia and more are available.

The literacy council said it is flexible with instruction and times and said its only restriction is the lack of/or times with volunteers.
