Angelo State plans jam-packed Game Day weekend

A Lone Star Conference soccer tournament, Ram Jam and Senior Day are all on tap this weekend.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University hosting a variety of Game Day events Nov. 15-16, including the Rambelles soccer team hosting the Lone Star Conference tournament, a Ram Jam tailgate party with a free concert, and the final regular-season contests for the Belles volleyball team and Rams football team.

Friday, Nov. 15

  • 5 p.m. - Belles soccer vs. Midwestern State, LSC Tournament semifinal, LeGrand Soccer Complex
  • 6 p.m. - No. 11 Belles volleyball vs. Dallas Baptist, Junell Center/Stephens Arena

Saturday, Nov. 16

  • 2 p.m. - No. 11 Belles volleyball vs. UT Tyler, Junell Center/Stephens Arena
  • 3-5 p.m. - Ram Jam, LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center
  • During Ram Jam - Free concert by indie folk band The National Parks
  • 6 p.m. - No. 21 Rams football vs. West Texas A&M, LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field

Saturday is Senior Day and both the Belles volleyball team and Rams football team will be honoring senior student-athletes during their respective contests.

Senior Day Ram Jam is free and open to the public and includes performances by the ASU Ram band and cheer team, free food and giveaways. Anyone 21 and over wishing to consume alcohol will need to get a free wristband from the wristband stations at Ram Jam. Each person must present a valid government-issued photo ID to receive a wristband.

The LSC Soccer Tournament championship game will be played at 1 p.m. Sunday at the LeGrand Soccer Complex.

Fans are also encouraged to remember the clear bag policy for ASU athletics events, and fans who can't make it to the games can still follow all the live action on the new FloSports digital streaming service.
