San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo donates $50,000 to Angelo State Rodeo team

The program's inaugural class was elated to find out they would be receiving the funds to fulfill their needs.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State announced the hiring of Casey Sisk, their first ever rodeo head coach, back in June 2023. Ten months later, the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo donated $50,000 to the program.

"That $50,000 is really going to help our program, you know, in our scholarship fund because, it is just a huge thing and for the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo to do that for us, it has just been awesome," Sisk said.

With nearly a year under their belts, their focus now shifts toward improving and utilizing their resources to build a winning team throughout 2024 and beyond.

"That just sets us up quicker to get where we want to be and where I want the team and I mean, there is no way but up," Sisk said.

The Angelo State Rodeo team will use these funds to help take care of rodeo finances, scholarship opportunities and more.
