Concho Christmas Celebration's Tour of Lights opens Dec. 7

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The annual Tour of Lights is set to kick off Dec. 7 along the Concho River and at El Paseo de Santa Angela, hosted by Concho Christmas Celebration in collaboration with Downtown San Angelo Inc.

This year, 44,000 Chick-fil-A gift cards will be distributed at the beginning of the light display.

Additionally, the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 7at the corner of Concho Avenue and Chadbourne Street followed by a parade through downtown.

Complementary activities include Bike Through the Lights, Kayak Through the Lights, Tuba Concerts and more.

The lights tour is comprised of animated scenes depicting The 12 Days of Christmas, a toy factory, a gingerbread house, a nativity scene, reindeer, the American flag, Santa Claus and more.

To add to the holiday spirit, attendees entering the tour can tune in to KCSA 97.1 FM for holiday music. Guests can also complete survey cards for a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree to the Sunset Mall and JC Penney.

The Tour of Lights is open from 6-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays. A voluntary donation of $8 per car is suggested.
