SAN ANGELO, Texas — The driver of a vehicle that crashed into a tree in a yard in southwest San Angelo has not been found after he ran from the scene, the San Angelo Police Department said.
At around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, an SAPD officer tried to stop the vehicle in the Southland area. The driver initially stopped, but quickly drove away from the officer. A patrol supervisor conducted a risk assessment and the pursuit was terminated for the safety of the community.
Soon after the pursuit ended, the officer found the vehicle that had crashed into a tree in the front yard of a home near Shefflera Drive and Royal Oak Drive.
