Fairmount Cemetery cleanup planned July 15

All items anyone would like preserved should be collected by the end of day July 12. Those items can be returned to the gravesites Aug. 1.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Fairmount Cemetery’s staff will clean the burial grounds Monday, July 15, removing flowers and other items from graves so the property can be cleaned and trimmed.

Anyone who wants to preserve items should remove them from gravesites before the end of the day Friday, July 12. Those items can be returned to the cemetery, 1100 W. Avenue N, beginning Thursday, Aug. 1.

Items left at gravesites will be picked up and held for one week for residents to pick up. Any unclaimed items will be disposed of Monday, July 22.

Lot owners are reminded flowers should be placed only to the sides or in cradles on top of monuments as it allows for maintenance of gravesites.
