SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is asking for public input on the future of US 377, a corridor spanning 462 miles from Del Rio to the Texas-Oklahoma line.
US 377 plays a major role in commerce and travel in Texas. The comprehensive study will evaluate transportation needs and prioritize improvements to enhance safety, mobility, connectivity and system continuity along the corridor to support economic opportunity in the region.
TxDOT is asking the public to share their experiences traveling along the corridor, highlight safety, mobility and connectivity challenges, and provide insights into priorities for US 377.
“This study provides TxDOT a valuable opportunity to listen to communities, businesses, and the public on how the US 377 corridor should take shape to strengthen connections between communities and support economic opportunities for Texans now and into the future,” TxDOT Corridor Planning Branch Manager, Lorena Echeverria de Misi, said.
The public is also encouraged to leave comments about specific locations along the corridor on an interactive map. Both the survey and the interactive map are available from Dec. 4–Jan. 9.
