SAN ANGELO, Texas — Do you love chicken wings and hot sauce? New Journey San Angelo and Roots at the Silo are hosting an event soon that might just be perfect for you.
The fourth annual Hot Wing Trivia Contest, based on the YouTube series, "Hot Ones", consists of 10 wings and 10 questions and depends on how smart are you when your brain is on fire. The event will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Roots at the Silo, 2505 Martin Luther King Drive.
The fundraiser event benefits New Journey San Angelo, a ministry to foster care with a focus on aging out youth. Entry fee is $100 minimum with a prize for the contestant who raises the most donations.
Can't handle the heat? There's something for you too!! A hands-free cheesecake-eating contest for younger people between 5-16 with a minimum $20 entry contribution. There will be prizes for the top three contestants and door prizes for all entrants.
