SAN ANGELO, Texas — A 33-year-old San Angelo man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office said.
A release from the TGCSO said deputies executed a search warrant Tuesday in the 2500 block of Bowie Street.
The department's Criminal Investigations Division received a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTip which resulted in a Crimes Against Children investigation being opened.
The suspect, Floyd Tumey, 33, was found in possession of more than 80 videos and images depicting very young children engaging in sexual conduct.
Evidence of the crime was seized during the search and Tumey was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, each classified as a third-degree felony. As of 5 p.m., Tom Green County Jail records show no bond has been set for Tumey.
The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office continues to actively investigate these types of crimes and will continue to act on information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
