SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo Police say a man and woman found dead in a San Angelo home died as the result of a murder-suicide.

On Tuesday, June 11, SAPD officers made a welfare check at a home in the 1000 block of East 21st Street. They found the house secured. Because of information provided by the person asking for the welfare check and evidence at the scene, officers determined it was necessary to force entry to the home because they believed there was need for immediate intervention.

Officers discovered found the two dead inside. Preliminary investigation indicated the deaths of Clinton Willie Francis Jr., 72, and Malneshia Clark, 29 of San Angelo, were a murder-suicide.

Police say evidence at the scene indicated Clark fatally shot Francis before taking her own life.

The San Angelo Police Department said it extends its deepest condolences to the families and friends affected by this tragedy.
