ABILENE, Texas — Patients at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene and Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood can now experience cardiac technologies.
Just recently, both medical facilities started using a cardiac MRI, which can provide an up-close examination of the heart using the 1.5 system.
The cardiac MRI is often used to evaluate heart chambers, valves, major vessels and blood flow.
It can also be utilized to discover and monitor diseases/conditions including cardiac masses, heart ejection fraction, myocardial infraction damage and congenital heart problems.
"Cardiac MRI complements Hendrick Health’s comprehensive cardiology services and reflects a commitment to provide advanced procedures to residents of Abilene, Brownwood and West Central Texas,” Hendrick Health chief medical officer Dr. Rob Wiley said. “Bringing this technology to our area allows patients to stay closer to home for diagnostics and care.”
In just 90 minutes, the exam is completed, offering a quick and reliable new way to provide patient care.
