SAN ANGELO, Texas — Multiple vehicle break-ins resulting damage and stolen property have been reported in the southwest San Angelo area in the last two days by residents.

Security camera footage and photos have been shared on social media and the NextDoor app by victims warning friends and neighbors to watch vehicles and property. One woman who was burglarized shared a photo showing pry marks on the frame of the passenger side of her SUV and another photo where the window had been shattered before the thief took her property from inside the vehicle.

Reports have been filed with the San Angelo Police Department.

One social media post said there have been at least nine vehicle break-ins within a two-day timeframe. Neighborhoods mentioned include Inglewood Drive, Sunset Drive, Southwest Boulevard, Driftwood, Huntington and Lakeridge.

SAPD Public Information Officer Kelsey Hernandez said, "Extra patrol is being provided for the area and emails have been sent out to officers for the possible suspect to try and identify him. We also have our specialized divisions working together on the vehicle burglary cases. We encourage all citizens to lock their vehicles and do not leave any valuable items inside."

Anyone with footage or damage is being asked to email Zachary.Villarreal@sanangelopolice.org.

This is a developing story. More information will be posted as it becomes available from residents and the SAPD.
