SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Young Professionals group from the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce announced nominations for the annual 20 Under 40 Awards are open.

The award recognizes a new generation of influential professionals who exemplify occupational merit, servant leadership and exude remarkable personal qualities, a Chamber release said.

When nominating someone for the award, the Chamber asks you to consider common traits of leaders:

  • Success in their chosen field
  • Significant contributors to the success of their company or employer
  • Good examples of character, involvement and achievement, all consistent themes in their lives
  • Committed to professional excellence and the community
  • Involved in community activities
  • Potential to impact community’s future

Nominees must work in the Concho Valley, be under 40 (as of June 6, 2024) and have a commitment and motivation to serve the San Angelo area.

Deadline for nomination submissions is June 6. Winners will be selected by an anonymous selection committee on their own merits, based on the information on the nomination application. A blind point system is used to make selections, so the more details you can provide, the more likely your nominee is to score maximum points per section.

Winners will be notified at the end of June.
