SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University's Mayer Museum will host its next monthly "Night at the Museum" program from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Mayer Museum, 2501 W. Avenue N.
Night at the Museum is free and open to the public. For this installment, ASU's Association of Mexican American Students (AMAS) is co-hosting a Dia de los Muertos celebration, featuring:
- 6 p.m. - ASU Mariachi Los Pastores performance
- 6:30 p.m. - ASU Danza de Oro ballet folklorico performance
- 7 p.m. - General blessing by ASU Newman Center
Other family-friendly and educational activities scheduled throughout the evening include:
- 5-6 p.m. - DIY sugar skulls with the ASU Spanish Club
- 5-6 p.m. - ASU virtual reality tour demonstration
- 7-8 p.m. - Monarch butterfly project and STEM projects with the ASU Tri-Beta biology honor society
- Impressions art passport project with the ASU Art Club, Kappa Pi and Art in Uncommon Places
- Ofrenda display curated by AMAS
- Interactive Mayer Museum exhibits
The final Night at the Museum event of the year will be Tuesday, Dec. 3.
