ASU's home opening game highlighted by Ram Jam, free concert

The home opener will be a "Blue Out" with all fans encouraged to wear ASU blue.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State University's Home Opening Game Day for the Rams football team Saturday, Sept. 14 includes a Ram Jam tailgate party with a free concert, as well as the football game against Eastern New Mexico.

Game day activities include:

  • 3-5 p.m. - Ram Jam, LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University Ave.
  • During Ram Jam - Free concert by country music artist Jordan Harvey
  • 6 p.m. - ASU Rams vs. Eastern New Mexico, LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field, 2302 Phil George Drive

The Home Opening Game Day football game will be a "Blue Out" and all fans are encouraged to wear ASU blue.

Ram Jam and the included concert are free and open to the public. Other activities include performances by the ASU Ram Band and Cheer Team, free food and giveaways.

Anyone 21 and over who wants to consume alcohol is required to get a free wristband from the wristband stations at Ram Jam. Everyone is required to present a valid government-issued photo ID to receive a wristband.

Fans are also encouraged to remember the clear bag policy for ASU athletics events. Prohibited items will not be held for fans during events and fans who refuse to allow inspections of bags will be denied entry to the facility.

Fans who can't make it to the game can watch at FloSports digital streaming service.
