SAN ANGELO, Texas — A 39-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after Texas Department of Public Safety trooper tried to take him into custody for an outstanding warrant and he ran from them.

"The suspect ran from police officers which created a multi-agency response," San Angelo Police Department Sgt. John Bouligny said.

Bryan Espinoza was arrested in the back parking lot of Rafter C Construction, 3800 Christoval Road.

He was taken to the Tom Green County Jail after being medically evaluated at the scene.

Espinoza was released from the jail Tuesday after being arrested Monday morning on charges of motion to revoke for evading arrest detention with vehicle and driving while intoxicated third or more; driving while license invalid; expired vehicle registration and failure to appear.

On March 18, 2024, Espinoza pleaded guilty to the DWI and evading arrest charges. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for 10 years.

Motions to revoke were filed in June 2024 after Espinoza failed to make his May 2024 probation payment, committed the offense by stalking someone in April 2024, and didn't complete community service in May and June, as ordered by the court. Arrest warrants were issued July 2, 2024.
