Donate at Shannon South blood drive, get a free turkey

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Want a free turkey for a good deed? Vitalant will give donors a free turkey during the Shannon South Blood Drive Nov. 12-13. 

Vitalant says there is an urgent need for all eligible donors, with a critical need for type O red blood cells and platelets. To donate, you must be at least 16-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be healthy. 16-year-olds need minor donor permit from vitalant.org.

The Shannon South drive is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 12 and 13, in the Bloodmobile that will be at the Williams Family Center entrance at back of hospital, 3501 Knickerbocker Road. Donors get voucher for a free turkey (courtesy of H-E-B), two Cinemark movie passes, a Chick-fil-a coupon plus entry to win a $10,000 prepaid gift card. Find out more at 2024 Make Difference.
