Shriners Parade happening Saturday in downtown San Angelo

The Texas Shrine Association has been in San Angelo throughout the week. The week wraps up with a parade downtown.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Shriners from across the state will hit the streets in downtown San Angelo Saturday morning for the Texas Shriners Association Parade. 

The event kicks off at 9:50 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Oakes Street and ends at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive. Clowns, go-karts, bands, vehicles, mounted units, antique vehicle and marching units are usually included in Shriners parades.

San Angelo Mayor Brenda Gunter will serve as grand marshal with national Shriners Hospitals for Children dignitaries participating, as well.
