One taken to Shannon after two-vehicle crash at South Bryant intersection

The driver of a Hyundai Sonata will be ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The driver of a Hyundai Sonata that collided with a Nissan at the intersection of South Bryant Boulevard and Town & Country Drive will be ticketed with failure to yield the right of way.

San Angelo Police Department Officer Welch said the Sonota driver was headed southbound on Bryant and the Nissan driver was headed north.

"The Sonata tried to turn left in here to Walmart, failed to yield the right of way when they were turning and hit the Nissan," Welch said.

The driver of the Nissan was not injured. The Hyundai driver "she appeared to be fine, but she still wanted to go to the hospital for precautionary measures," Welch said. She was taken to Shannon Medical Center.

Drivers should avoid the area of South Bryant Boulevard (northbound) and Town & Country Drive near Walmart SuperCenter. San Angelo Police and Fire departments are working at the scene of a vehicle crash. #breakingnews #breaking #traffic #SanAngeloNews #FWT
