SAN ANGELO, Texas — It's been four years since Walt Koenig took the helm as president and CEO of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce.
In the Chamber Newsletter Friday, Koenig wrote about milestones that provide the opportunity for reflection and celebration.
"Looking back on the past 4 years, I recall so many important and pivotal events in San Angelo. We worked together to minimize the negative impact of a global pandemic and were, through our cooperative efforts, able to position the City of San Angelo for success despite these challenges.
At the Chamber, we have been able to earn a membership that is consistently growing and increasingly diverse. As a Chamber body, we are younger and more racially and ethnically diverse than we have been in our 100+ year history. The same holds true for our Chamber staff and board of directors. As a Chamber, we are looking more like the community of San Angelo and as result we are stronger, more responsive and more visionary that we have been in recent memory. Our Chamber staff has also evolved, and we have added many new team members. I am now confident that we do indeed have the strongest Chamber team in the State of Texas."
